Let’s start with the obvious, the new grille. It’s more aggressive with a wider, more prominent grille and a significant body line stretching from the front fender through the doors and rear quarter panel. Conveying a sense of motion. The headlights will be available in LEO low and high beams with an auto-leveling system. The 2015 model is longer than the outgoing Camry by 1.8 inches and features a 0.4-inch wider track.
Inside the new Camry are more premium and soft-touch materials, as well as a new 4.2-inch color screen between the gauges of SE, XLE and XSE models for controlling vehicle functions, audio, navigation, warnings and communications. The steering wheel has cool red stitching in the new XSE trim that gives it an edgier look compared to any Camry in the past.
One focus of the redesign was to quiet the cabin, by improving window and door seals and adding more insulating material to the carpet.
The 2015 Camry engine has pretty much remained the same as before. The 4 cylinder Camry has its 178 hp engine and the 6 cylinder engine still uses a 268 hp engine. The only difference between any of the Camry models is the brand new XSE trim level, which adds a stiffer sport suspension, unique steering tuning and 18-inch wheels.
The 2015 Camry will offer driving aids such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision warning, automatic high beams and blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert. It adds a backup camera to all models as well as optional adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert and a pre-collision system.
