The smell of pumpkin spice lattes is in the air and the changing colors of Fall are upon us. With Fall and Halloween comes a great variety of themed events around the Black Hills. We have compiled our favorite events happening through the end of the month and into October. If you’re not big on events, now is also a great time to take a drive through Vanocker, Boulder or Spearfish Canyons.

Sept 30 – Great Downtown Pumpkin Festival – Full day of events at Main Street Square in Rapid City.
Oct 6-8 – Black Hills PowWow – Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
Oct 7 – Biersborse – Try local craft beer at Main Street Square in Rapid City.
Oct 13 (and weekly through Oct) – The Haunting of Keystone – Get scared in Keystone.
Oct 27-28 – Deadweird – Get weird in your costumes in Deadwood.
Oct 27-28 – Halloween Night Hike – Guided hike in Custer State Park.
Oct 28 – Scare in the Square – Costumes and trick-or-treating in Main Street Square.
