Ask Jakoby Christiansen what he likes most about video games, he answers with all the typical garrulousness of a 14-year-old boy: “Gaming.” Then with a mischievous grin, Jakoby is off to finish his ice cream and practice trendy fist bumps with his friends.
Jakoby’s love of gaming is why Make-A-Wish South Dakota and Montana presented the Custer teen with a complete gaming setup on June 29 at Horatio’s Homemade Ice Cream in Custer. The setup includedan Alien warehouse laptop, chairs, an oculus, microphone, headset, and desk, along with a few other accessories.
His mom, Sarah; dad, Josh; sister, Avery; and aunt, Lindsay, also attended the presentation. His mom said Horatio’s is a family favorite (Avery even works there). Jakoby, who had selected apple kiwi ice cream that day, said his favorite game is Minecraft.
We are proud to sponsor organizations like Make-A-Wish that do so much for kids in our area, and we loved being part of Jakoby’s special day. Congratulations, and have fun!
