Off the Beaten Path – 2018 Toyota 4Runner

If you need to cut through the worst winter driving conditions or want to travel off road any time of year, one of the best vehicles of 2018 is the Toyota 4Runner. The latest incarnation of the 4Runner will please loyal devotees of the vehicle and draw new fans alike.

At Denny Menholt Toyota, we’re excited about the new model’s off-road abilities along with its powerful engine and cool, tough look. After 34 years of fueling adventure, the 2018 model takes legendary toughness and amplifies it even further. This model features a suspension that will carry you over rough terrain on oversize high performance shocks. The 2018 continues the body-on-frame construction that handles extreme ruggedness. The proven record continues to shine after thousands of miles on treacherous harsh trials; 90% of the 4Runners sold in the last 10 years are still on the road.

Two new exciting upgrades for 2018 feature the Wilderness Package and the TRD Enhancement Package. The Wilderness Package is available for the SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road and TRD Off-Road Premium grades and equips the 4Runner with roof rack crossbars, all-weather floor liners and a cargo tray. The TRD Enhancement Package, available for the TRD grades, adds TRD 17-inch matte gray alloy wheels and a TRD-stamped aluminum front skid plate.

The 4Runner also has underbody armor including skid plates under the vehicle to protect the engine, front suspension, and fuel tank. When most cars are forgoing a spare tire, the 2018 4Runner has a full size spare that comes standard. Choose between two different 4-wheel drive systems and a multi-terrain select to choose between four modes that regulate wheel spin and adjust engine throttle and traction control.

Inside, find plenty of room for every adventure and all the gear you need to take along. Fold-flat second row seats make room for 88.8 cubic feet of cargo space. And a third row seat means you can accommodate as many as seven passengers. The rear door has power glass that lowers with the push of a button, and you can get a sliding rear cargo deck to hold 440 pounds and makes loading and unloading a breeze. There’s also a 120V AC power outlet in the cargo area, JBL speakers, and all of the safety features you’ve come to expect.

Every 4Runner grade has its own unique wheel style. The TRD Off-Road and Off-Road Premium feature 17 inch, 7-spoke alloy wheels with black painted accents. The Limited has stylish 20-inch split 6-spoke wheels.

The Limited also includes refined accents like chrome door handles and chrome accent grille.

The experts at Denny Menholt Toyota can show you all of this year’s new features on one of the most legendary off-road vehicles.
