Toyota of the Black Hills Blood Drive

Every two seconds someone in this country is in need of blood. According to the American Red Cross, if that person is a car accident victim they could need 100 pints of blood. The need for blood continues 24/7–through weekends and holidays, so having blood readily available is a constant challenge. During the holidays blood supplies can drop due to fewer donations. Blood drives are a major source of blood donation locally and nationwide.

To help those in need in our own community, Toyota of the Black Hills and Rapid Chevy are teaming up to host a blood drive to benefit those in need through the United Blood Services. United Blood Services is a nonprofit community blood center, providing blood products for local area hospitals throughout the United States and here in South Dakota. They have locations in Aberdeen, Mitchell, and Rapid City.

This Tuesday, January 16th you have the opportunity to be a hero and help those in need. United Blood Services will be accepting blood donations at Toyota of the Black Hills from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and then Rapid Chevrolet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The United Blood Service mobile donating unit will begin the day at Toyota of the Black Hills. The public is welcome to take part. For appointments check out this website to reserve your space.

Rapid Chevrolet and Toyota of the Black Hills will have a friendly competition, like always, to see who can donate the most units of blood.  Donating is safe and easy with the actual donation process usually taking 15 minutes. Come join us in helping those in need!
