Our Gear Up for Summer giveaway ended June 30, and the grand prize of a new side-by-side UForce went to James Hoeft, of Deadwood. Sales and service customers from all three of our Rapid City locations participated in the drawings. We had 1,278 in-store entries for a chance to win. Thank you to Rice’s Rapid Motorsports for partnering with us on this giveaway!
Summer is a great time in the Black Hills, with so many opportunities for outdoor adventures. And the best part is, you don’t have to travel to experience those opportunities — or to get the gear you need. Part of what we really wanted to promote with this giveaway is the great business community we have in Rapid City. And boy did they make it easy! So many local businesses helped us by donating items or providing items at a discount. We wouldn’t have been able to give out nearly as many amazing prizes without their support.

Along with the grand prize of a side-by-side, we gave away awesome prize packages at each of our Rapid City locations (Denny Menholt Toyota, Rushmore Honda, and Rapid Chevrolet). Atourstore, Kyle Callahan won the fire pit table from Black Hills Fireplace & Outdoor, along with a $100 gift certificate to Dakota Butcher and $50 for Plantsmyth. Ethan Payson won a beach/camping set. His prize package included an Orca cooler, camping chairs, beach towels and water toys, and an inflatable llama. Ethan lives in Sioux Falls, so a friend picked up the prizes on his behalf and said they’d get put to good use at the river this summer. And Tierny Parrish won a gift certificate for an 18-hole round of golf at The Golf Club at Red Rock (cart included!) and $100 in Sickie’s Bucks for Sickies Garage. Tierny is from Newcastle, Wyo., and volunteers her time driving members of the Weston County Senior Services community to appointments — even bringing them to Rapid City (in her Toyota, of course).
